These are application hypotheses, not claims of commercial readiness. Each needs a partner, a requirements envelope and a quantified comparison to the incumbent design.

The REM patent specifically contemplates a module attached to an excavator arm to change bucket angle. This creates a concrete, testable engineering case.
Inspection & hazardous access
Modular articulated arms can be useful in constrained environments where reach, orientation and protected service lines all matter.
Advanced manipulators
The patent describes scaling and potential medical use. Any such application would require a dedicated architecture, materials, safety case and regulatory pathway.
APPLICATION SCORECARD
A good first market is not necessarily the largest. It is the one where REM solves a painful problem, can be validated quickly and has a partner willing to test it.
